Data Privacy Statement

Scope of Application

This data privacy statement is intended to inform users of the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the Kinderschutz & Jugendwohlfahrt e.V. Hamburg [Stresemannstraße 136, 22769 Hamburg, 040-812949, info@kinderschutz-hamburg.de] on this website (hereinafter referred to as the “offer”).

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. We are subject to the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz BDSG) as well as the Telemedia Law (Telemediengesetz TMG) regarding the collecting, processing and use of personal data.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that save specific information related to the device on a user’s access point to the offer (desktop, smartphone, etc.). They serve two main purposes: To improve the user friendliness of websites (e.g. by saving log-in data), to record statistical data of website use and to analyse this data for the purpose of improving the offer. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or prevent cookies from being saved. However, the usability of the offer without cookies is limited.
You can manage many businesses’ online ad cookies via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU page http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

Access Data / Server Log Files

The provider (or his web hosting provider) collects data about every access to the offer (so-called server log files). This access data includes:

Name of the retrieved website, file, date and time of the retrieval, transmitted data volume, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL, IP address and requesting provider.

The provider uses the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, securing, and optimizing the offer. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log data at a later date if there is a concrete suspicion of illegal use.

Communication

When contacting the provider (e.g. via registration form or e-mail), the data the user submitted is saved for the purpose of processing the inquiry as well as in case follow-up questions arise. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent, unless we are legally obliged to do so.

Integrating Third-Party Services and Content

It is possible that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites may be integrated into this website. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) receive the user’s IP address. Without the IP address, the third-party providers would be unable to send the content to the user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We attempt to only use content whose providers limit the use of IP addresses only to the delivery of this content. However, we have no influence on whether the third-party providers save the IP address for example for statistical purposes. In cases we are aware of this, we will let users know.

 Revocation, Amendments, Corrections, and Updates

The user has the right to request free of charge information about personal data that’s being saved about him. Additionally, the user is entitled to correction, blocking and deletion of false personal data, insofar as this does not preclude a statutory retention requirement.
